Bachelor of Interior Architecture (HNS)
An honours graduate of the University of New South Wales’ architecture program, Phoebe Nicol is a Sydney-based Interior Architect, specialising in the design of high-end residences and boutique commercial spaces.
Phoebe works closely with her clients to understand their aesthetic vision and then reflects this through her own creative lens to deliver a uniquely curated, personalised living environment.
As co-owner of The Vault Sydney – a trove of eclectic antiques and iconic collectables that has become a go-to destination for many of Australia’s leading-edge designers, art directors and stylists – Phoebe has finely-honed her talent for sourcing the perfect pieces for her clients.
Under her expert curation, European design classics sit comfortably in a modern setting, blending the unexpected with the familiar, the old with the new, to create the ultimate in liveability.
Phoebe has been fortunate to learn from some of the greatest Australian influencers in the design world. Having worked at The Country Trader alongside antiques dealer and interior designer Geoffrey Clark, Phoebe was mentored by one of this country’s most respected traders in unique European furniture and objets d’art. During her academic studies she worked at the renowned architectural practice of Popov Bass, where she learned the keys to mastering restraint and fine attention to detail.
The experience and inspiration that Phoebe gleaned from these very different mentors has allowed her to develop her own inimitable style, for which she has become highly respected and sought-after.
